Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a People Business Partner to join our People Team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis. The role will be based at our Basingstoke office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
Key Accountabilities
People Initiatives & Process Improvement
- Drive impactful People projects to boost engagement and employee experience across Corporate Functions.
- Partner with the Corporate Functions People Team to streamline processes and align with strategic priorities.
Employee Engagement & Well-being
- Lead the annual Merlin Culture Survey and \”Your Voice Counts\” Forum to capture and act on employee feedback.
- Champion UK social activities, well-being programmes, and Menopause initiatives across global sites.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as a trusted business partner, guiding leaders worldwide on employee relations, policy application, and legal compliance.
- Oversee absence management to improve attendance, collaborating with the Corporate Functions People Team for consistency.
HR Systems & Communications
- Own and optimise People systems (People Portal, iCIMS) and ensure clear, consistent communications across Corporate Functions.
- Support internal events and communication channels including The Huddle, Connect, and team briefs.
Change Management & Recruitment
- Support the People Director – Corporate Functions in delivering change programmes.
- Assist with recruitment and learning & development initiatives.
Data Insights & Strategic Planning
- Leverage People data (Culture Survey results, turnover, exit interviews) to shape future strategy.
- Ensure accurate data management with the People Administrator and review monthly payroll.
Qualifications & Experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification is desired
- Strong understanding & experience of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proven HR/People experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR/People initiatives.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
