As an Accountant – Global Record to Report, you’ll be at the heart of our Finance Hub, ensuring our numbers are accurate, our controls are watertight, and our reporting is always on point. More than just balancing figures, you’ll be a trusted partner to colleagues across the business — the go-to person for reliable support and smart solutions. With your continuous improvement mindset, you’ll spot opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen systems, and drive efficiency, helping us deliver finance with excellence across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management
- Support the Record to Report team as and when required in order to achieve deadlines as a team.
- Communicate and collaborate with Stakeholders to deliver tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Accurate and timely month end reporting in line with the Finance hub timetable across international legal entities.
- Achieve SLAs and KPIs for the area being supported.
Financial Accountability
- Support accounting activity across international legal entities.
- Ensures system of accounts and records are properly maintained.
- Assist in preparation of Audited Financial Statements.
- Accountable for preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations and supporting management of the process.
Operational Excellence
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant as and when required, on a variety of tasks.
- Work with domain team to lead on process reviews.
- Evaluate and identify processes within the record to report team that can be improved to allow for greater efficiency.
- Work with stakeholders across the Finance Hub and the wider business to ensure the record to report team are efficient as possible.
Qualifications & Experience
- Part qualified in final stages of ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 3 years + experience within finance role.
- Proven track record of month-end close processes incorporating financial analysis.
- Experience partnering teams / people through understanding of technical accounting frameworks and problem solving. Being to go to person to consult on matters of subject expertise.
- Knowledge and understanding of SSC & R2R processes.
- Involvement in process improvement initiatives.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to obtaining appropriate supporting evidence
- Initiative-taking individual with proactive and curious nature, able to effectively manage multiple Stakeholders requirements whilst maintaining high quality throughout.
Skills:
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and employees at all levels. Confident to engage and challenge senior stakeholders on change, process, and policies.
- Problem-Solving – Critical thinking skills, with the agility to navigate complex R2R challenges and support with sourcing practical solutions.
- Risk and Controls- Emerging ability for identifying and interpreting impact or potential risks in the process and offering mitigation actions. Whilst supporting the framework of a robust financial control environment.
- Resolution focussed – Drive and determination to push activities through to a successful conclusion.
