About the role
As a Keyholder, you will be responsible for ensuring customers feel welcome and for creating the atmosphere needed to deliver a great gaming experience in one of the largest high‑street gaming brands.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the opening, trading and closing of the venue in the absence of the Venue Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Maintain the venue to the highest housekeeping standards, cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
- Issue customers with change as required and control any personal float allocated, following company procedures.
- Assist with bingo, catering or any other duties directed by the Venue or Duty Manager.
- Payout for machine faults in line with company procedures when authorised by the Venue or Duty Manager.
- Monitor customer behaviour, noting any suspicious or disruptive actions and reporting them to the Venue Manager.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and report potential hazards to the Venue Manager.
- Complete administrative tasks to 100% accuracy.
- Help ensure promotions run smoothly and achieve success.
- Deliver customer service in line with company standards, aiming for customer delight.
- Escalate customer complaints promptly to a member of management.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, complying with the company dress code.
- Promote responsible gambling strategies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Flexible and able to work a rota that includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar role within retail, hospitality or gambling sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to learn, progress, support training of others and act as a role model for the team.
- Cash‑handling experience.
