Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the opening, trading and closure of the venue.
- Assist the venue manager in the day‑to‑day activities.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high interior and exterior standards and ensure housekeeping standards are upheld.
- Establish and maintain customer service standards on behalf of the company and maximise income wherever possible.
- Implement appropriate marketing/promotional activities to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Assist senior managers to maximise business opportunities within the venue.
- Ensure venue cash collections are carried out timely and accurately, in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all company security procedures are adhered to by all employees.
- Conduct regular, random checks of floats, keys etc on all employees and take appropriate action where necessary.
- Ensure the safety of all employees together with members of the public visiting the venue.
- Ensure that all daily/weekly/periodic administration is completed on time and to the required standard.
- Deal with the day‑to‑day problems arising from employees within the venue.
- Ensure a good working environment is established.
- Promote the company in a positive manner when dealing with internal and external customers or at any other opportunity.
- Actively manage safeguarding and social responsibility measures while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind against employees, management or customers on the grounds of race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role within gaming, retail, hospitality or a similar industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with leading and mentoring others.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts (if your venue is a 24‑hour operation).
- A willingness to learn and develop.
