Hours per week: 35. Pay rate £13.60–£15.10 per hour. Night rate £15.10 between 23:00 and 06:00.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for opening, trading and closing the venue in the absence of the Venue Manager / Assistant Manager.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards; clean gaming equipment, floors, walls, and other surfaces.
  • Issue customers with change, control any personal float in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with bingo, catering or any other duties as required or directed by the Venue/Duty Manager.
  • Payout for machine faults in line with company procedures when authorised to do so by the Venue/Duty Manager.
  • Monitor customers' actions and behaviour, noting any suspicious or disruptive behaviour and reporting it.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, reporting any hazards.
  • Assist with administration as required to 100% accuracy.
  • Help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
  • Ensure customer service meets company standards and results in 'customer delight'.
  • Ensure customer complaints are brought to the attention of a member of management promptly.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation; adhere to the company dress code.
  • Promote responsible gambling strategies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Flexible and able to work on a rota basis that includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Experience working in a similar role in retail, hospitality or gambling sector.
  • Keen to learn and progress.
  • Ability to support training of others and be a role model for the team.
  • Experience in cash handling.
  • Industry and compliance training will be given.
