Job Overview
We will be opening up a new venue in Catford. We are looking for a Supervisor to join our wonderful venue team. The role involves demonstrating excellent communication and people skills and a passion for providing first‑class service. You must be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Support and mentor Team Members, ensuring targets are achieved and maintaining morale and productivity.
- Take full responsibility for the opening, trading and closure of the venue.
- Assist the venue manager in day‑to‑day activities of the venue.
- Ensure interior/exterior standards are maintained and housekeeping standards are adhered to.
- Establish and maintain customer service standards on behalf of the company and maximise income.
- Implement marketing/promotional activities to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Assist senior managers to maximise business opportunities within the venue.
- Ensure cash collections are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all company security procedures are adhered to by all employees.
- Conduct random checks of floats, keys and other assets, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Ensure safety of all employees and members of the public visiting the venue.
- Complete daily/weekly/periodical administration to the required standard and timely.
- Deal with day‑to‑day problems arising from employees within the venue.
- Establish a positive working environment.
- Promote the company in a positive manner when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Actively manage and promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Actively discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind against employees, management or customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role within the gaming, retail, hospitality, or similar industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with leading and mentoring others.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts (if your venue is a 24‑hour operation).
- Willingness to learn and develop.
