Position: Food and Beverage Host

Location: Milton Keynes Casino

Hours Per Week: We have opportunities for 16 and 24 hours a week - Late night and weekend availability

Pay Rate: £12.87 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a food and beverage host to join our fantastic new casino team! In this role you will provide food and beverages to casino customers, visitors and guests, ensuring that high levels of customer service are met and that our guests have a smile on their face.

We will be bringing more events to the casino so looking for lively people to join our team!

About you:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A great communicator
  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality role or other relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of cleaning requirements.
  • Understanding of food hygiene
  • Being flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including night shifts and weekends.
  • Ideally candidates will live in Milton Keynes

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Ensure customer service levels are met.
  • Ensure day to day responsibilities are being completed, such as cleaning requirements and reporting.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Follow all guidance and procedures in line with Licensing Act 2003.
  • Following correct food preparation procedures.
  • To have an in-depth knowledge of wines, spirits and cocktails, glass selection, wine pouring, etc.
  • To have full knowledge of back of house operations i.e., barrel changes, cellar care, line cleaning.
  • Knowledgeable about the promotions on offer and prepared to answer questions regarding them.
  • To promote the company in a professional and positive manner with both internal and external contacts or at any other opportunity.
  • To ensure that the company’s equal opportunities policy is adhered to at all times.
  • To adhere to all company health and safety practices and procedures and action as appropriate should any issue arise.
  • To attend and conduct meetings as and when required.
  • Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with internal Responsible Gambling policies and UK Gambling Commission Licence Codes of Conduct and Practice (LCCP)
  • To promote awareness of Responsible Gambling strategies and procedures. Ensuring Responsible Gambling is an integral part of the daily operation.
  • To be proactive in safeguarding our customers and the business by ensuring that standards of compliance both internally and externally are delivered to the highest level and opportunities to improve are identified to support the business objectives.

In keeping with accepted principles of good Company practice, you may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties related to your position as directed from time to time by your Line Manager.
