Job Overview
New Opportunity to join our Maintenance Team!
Position: Maintenance Operative.
Location: Luton and North London – you will look after several venues within this area plus periodic travel to sites further away.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and execution of core planned and reactive maintenance across the estate.
- Follow all maintenance requests received from the Helpdesk or Maintenance Manager.
- Meet and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements for Health & Safety and fire emergency standards stipulated by the Head of Construction & Facilities.
- Resolve problems and issues that arise during venue refurbishment.
- Work unsupervised to resolve maintenance issues.
- Assist with the layout of gaming machines in venue following a vision plan if required.
- Assist with carpet installations and minor carpet repairs.
- Attend periodic department meetings on agreed dates.
- Promote the company in a professional and positive manner with both internal and external contacts or at any other opportunity.
- Respond positively, promptly and appropriately to all internal and external customer requests.
- Comply with company standards and codes of conduct.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving License is essential.
- Multi-skilled tradesperson with proven experience.
- Experience with electrical, plumbing and carpentry works.
- Experience working in a retail maintenance environment or similar.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office & i OS (i Phone & i Pad).
- Experience in procuring building / maintenance materials and equipment through trade accounts.
- Confident decision-making skills to achieve desired results.
- Ability to adapt to changes and challenges when carrying out works.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- CSCS Car or relevant trade qualification/s is an advantage.
