Are you a senior compliance professional with a passion for leading and shaping the compliance culture of a dynamic financial services company?

Our client is one of the UK’s largest SME lenders who are currently seeking a Head of Compliance to join their successful leadership team. As the Head of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm remains fully compliant with FCA regulations while fostering a robust compliance culture. You will work with key stakeholders across the business, providing pragmatic commercial advice and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead compliance efforts across the firm, working closely with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, including SMCR , Consumer Duty , and FSMA .
  • Oversee and monitor the firm’s whistleblowing framework, ensuring protection and confidentiality.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage regulatory risks, ensuring all staff are aware of compliance procedures and policies.
  • Provide input into product reviews, ensuring compliance with FCA standards and supporting new product development.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the FCA, and manage all necessary reporting.
  • Drive a strong compliance culture across the business and ensure staff meet training and competence requirements.

  • Extensive knowledge of FCA regulations, FSMA, and CCA.
  • Proven experience in a senior compliance role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
