Due to recent growth, our client – a north-west based insurance company – is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to lead the Audit function. As the Internal Audit Manager, your role involves creating and overseeing a thorough audit programme that spans the entire cycle, prioritising outcomes and risks. This programme will drive behavioural, process, and product enhancements aligned with business objectives, while also offering valuable performance insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and analysing inherent risks in the Group's operations, claims, and controls.
  • Developing audits to ensure focus on key risks and controls.
  • Leading the risk-based audit plan and full audit lifecycle for all engagements.
  • Collaborating across business functions for integrated insurance risk management and audit testing.
  • Enhancing Audit function effectiveness through innovative solutions like data analytics and automation.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Audit/quality assurance experience, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Proven track record leading effective teams, improving methodologies, and driving high performance.
  • Demonstrated leadership in delivering audit outcomes, with effective reporting and escalation.
  • Skilled in building relationships with stakeholders and across the Granite group to foster open communication.
  • Proficient in reporting and data analysis.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities to attract and develop top talent.
