We are seeking an Enterprise Risk & Compliance Analyst to join our growing Risk function. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with experience in 2nd Line Risk, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, or Compliance Oversight within an asset management, investment management, wealth management, or broader financial services environment.
Working within the independent Risk & Compliance team, you will support the ongoing development and oversight of the firm's enterprise risk management framework, providing effective challenge, guidance, and monitoring across Operations and Technology functions. The role offers broad exposure to operational risk, regulatory compliance, resilience, data privacy, business continuity, and FCA regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with first-line business teams while maintaining an independent second-line perspective, helping ensure that risks are identified, assessed, managed, and reported effectively across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Provide independent 2nd Line oversight and challenge of risk and control activities across Operations and Technology functions.
- Coordinate and facilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), ensuring risks and controls are appropriately identified, assessed, and documented.
- Monitor risk events, incidents, and control weaknesses, supporting root cause analysis and tracking remediation actions through to completion.
- Assist with the preparation of risk reporting, management information, and risk committee materials for senior management.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the firm's Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process and Wind Down Plan.
- Contribute to the ongoing oversight of operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery arrangements.
- Support the Data Privacy Officer with GDPR-related activities, including DPIAs, Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), and privacy reporting.
- Assist with regulatory change initiatives and implementation of new risk and compliance requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture and effective risk management practices across the organisation.
You will have experience working within a 2nd Line Risk, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Compliance, or Risk & Control function and be looking to further develop your career within a respected investment management business.
Essential Experience- Experience within a 2nd Line Risk, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Compliance Oversight, or Risk & Controls function.
- Experience gained within asset management, investment management, wealth management, banking, or wider financial services.
- Understanding of operational risk management frameworks, risk assessments, controls, and incident management.
- Experience supporting or reviewing Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
- Familiarity with FCA-regulated environments and regulatory expectations relating to risk management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage, influence, and challenge constructively.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting ICARA, operational resilience, business continuity, or regulatory compliance programmes.
- Knowledge of data privacy and GDPR requirements.
- Experience producing risk reporting and management information for governance committees.
- Professional qualifications or progress towards qualifications in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Financial Services.
