The Role
You will act as a key point of coordination and oversight for risk-related activity across the business, ensuring that issues are identified, understood, and effectively managed. Operating with a degree of independence, you will provide constructive challenge while maintaining strong relationships with operational teams. - Conduct root cause and thematic analysis to support effective remediation of risks and incidents
- Support and enhance risk and control frameworks, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations
- Contribute to risk reporting across multiple levels, including senior leadership and global stakeholders
- Participate in and support governance forums, ensuring clear tracking of actions and escalation of key risks
- Collaborate with first-line teams and central risk functions to ensure consistency in risk interpretation and reporting
- Support audit and assurance activity, including preparation and follow-up on findings
- Analyse data to produce insightful management information, identifying patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks
- Promote risk awareness and best practice across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
- Familiarity with first line risk management (e.g., RCSA, ICARA, risk events) and risk assessment
- Must have good knowledge around retail investment products such as ISAs, Pensions etc.
- Confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels to support effective risk governance and operational decision‑making.
- Ability to analyse complex data and produce clear, actionable insights
- Experience contributing to risk reporting and governance forums
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively and drive improvements
