MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Management Accountant for a leading Building Society. This role involves reporting to the Finance Manager and you would be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records and financial information. To assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, key performance MI and the Annual Report and Accounts.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant:- Assist with monthly management accounts, KPIs and Board reports
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and reconcile ledgers
- Support budgetary reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Process and reconcile purchase ledger, cash and bank accounts
- Assist with Annual Report & Accounts and regulatory reporting
- Support treasury reporting, systems, controls and process improvements
- Experience in a finance or accounting role from within the Financial Services and experience within a Building Society would be highly desirable
- AAT Qualified or part qualified CIMA or ACCA
- Demonstrable experience of Purchase Ledger
- Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
- Good understanding of financial controls and processes
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
