Underwriting Lead

The 1st line underwriting lead will spearhead a team providing first-class broker partner engagement and technical underwriting support. This role offers the chance to shape the success of a growing team, drive digital innovation, and contribute to the company’s expansion strategy., * Lead and develop a team of underwriters to meet service targets and ensure exceptional customer outcomes

• Drive innovation in service delivery through digital and automation opportunities

• Analyse underwriting data to inform decision-making and improve processes

• Collaborate with the Governance Team to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

• Manage relationships with internal teams and external partners effectively

• Proven experience in underwriting, with a solid understanding of risk assessment and insurance principles

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach

• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, Diploma in Insurance)

• Proficiency in using various Policy Administration Systems (PAS) or underwriting technology
