MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager on behalf of our client, one of the most recognisable and respected organisations within the Property and Construction Industry. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you would be contributing to the overall success of the Business through supporting the SFM in the effective management of the Finance Team and working across the Joint Ventures. You would also play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and ensuring robust financial management.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
- Assist with Financial Management and reporting with variance analysis and P&L movement commentary
- Working with group finance with the Statutory Account preparation for JV year end
- Maintaining Cash flow forecasts and monitoring cash levels within the JV’s to ensure enough funding is in place
- Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations and VAT Returns
- Year End Audit process
Required knowledge and experience for the Finance Manager role:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience in a senior commercial accounting role
- Proven track record in financial management within the property or construction sector and JV Accounting would be desirable
- Experience of providing challenge to ensure all Financial Controls are maintained
- Demonstrable experience of managing budgets / cost control with strong Financial Analysis skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business
