MERJE is partnered with a large Property & Housing Business to find an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to play a critical leadership role within the development function.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a high-impact position, providing strategic financial insight, robust reporting and strong business partnering to support the delivery of their long-term development strategy.

You’ll lead the development finance team, own the development financial planning and budgeting processes, and act as the key finance partner to their Land and Commercial teams, ensuring development opportunities are financially sound and deliver long-term value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and own financial reporting, forecasting and planning schedules
  • Drive the annual development budget process and ongoing financial performance reporting
  • Provide expert financial analysis and insight to the development Leadership Team and Regional Management Teams
  • Act as the lead finance business partner for Land and Commercial teams, reviewing development opportunity viabilities and business cases
  • Oversee monthly cashflow reviews and variance analysis, working closely with Treasury
