We are looking for an experienced Head of Data Protection Privacy to lead the data protection and privacy framework for a large, highly regulated organisation.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for providing independent oversight of privacy compliance and acting as the organisation’s nominated Data Protection Officer (DPO) .
You will work closely with Executive and Board-level stakeholders, providing expert advice on privacy risk, regulatory requirements and data governance.
Key Responsibilities Act as the nominated DPO and primary contact for relevant data protection regulators.
Lead and continuously improve the organisation’s Data Protection and Privacy Framework.
Ensure compliance with UK EU GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, POPIA and other applicable privacy legislation.
Advise senior leadership on privacy risks, regulatory developments and complex data protection matters.
Oversee DPIAs, Ro PA, data subject rights, data sharing and international data transfers .
Lead the response to personal data breaches, regulatory enquiries and investigations.
Embed Privacy by Design and Default across technology, product and business change.
