Data Protection Officer

Milton Keynes – Head OfficeHybrid working (2–3 days per week)

A fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Data Protection Officer or someone ready to step up into their first DPO role. This is a pivotal position within a growing organisation on an exciting trajectory, where there’s genuine scope to shape the data protection agenda and make a meaningful impact.

You’ll lead the development and delivery of data protection strategy, ensuring compliance across a complex, multi-site business. With strong senior backing and plenty to get stuck into, this role offers both autonomy and visibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on data protection strategy, policies, and compliance with UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and related regulations.

  • Drive data protection awareness, training and cultural engagement across the business.

  • Maintain and review Records of Processing Activities and data mapping.

  • Oversee data breaches, subject rights requests and DPIAs, ensuring timely and compliant outcomes.

  • Monitor and report on performance, risks and improvement opportunities.

What We’re Looking For
  • Solid understanding of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR and broader privacy regulations.

  • Experience implementing data protection frameworks in complex environments.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Practical experience with DPIAs, breaches and regulatory interaction.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to influence at all levels.
