Job Description

Compliance Officer – FICC (Buy-Side)

A leading global hedge fund with over $4bn in assets under management is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact compliance role with strong visibility across the business.

The Role of Compliance Officer

This is a generalist compliance position offering exposure across UK and US regulatory frameworks. You’ll work closely with stakeholders at all levels and help shape the compliance agenda for the London office. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day compliance advisory support, particularly around FICC trading activity
  • Monitoring regulatory developments (UK and US) and assisting with regulatory filings
  • Supporting compliance monitoring, surveillance, and internal reviews
  • Developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks
  • Overseeing financial crime controls, including AML, KYC, and sanctions
  • Acting as a key point of contact across front office, legal, ops, and senior leadership

You’ll be part of a lean compliance team, allowing you to work autonomously and make meaningful contributions from day one.

Compliance Officer Candidate Profile

The ideal Compliance Officer will have:

  • Experience in a buy-side or sell-side compliance advisory role, with exposure to PMs or trading floor activity
  • Knowledge of FICC products (fixed income, credit, derivatives, etc.) – preferred
  • Familiarity with UK and US regulatory regimes (FCA, SEC, etc.)
  • Exposure to financial crime frameworks is a plus, but not essential
  • Confidence working independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

This Compliance Officer role is well-suited to someone looking to move into a position where they are given the autonomy to lead the compliance programme in London and make a real impact within a globally connected, high-performing hedge fund.
