We provide a specialist service for all automotive needs, ranging from new tyres, servicing and MOTs to tyre punctures, air conditioning and batteries.

This is a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator to join our small finance team at our Head Office in Andover, Hampshire.

The role will involve processing three payrolls, checking and entering purchase ledger transactions, answering incoming office calls, taking customer payments over the phone, and assisting with other duties across the team as required.

This is a varied part-time position within a team of six, so the successful candidate will need to be flexible, accurate, and comfortable helping wherever needed.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 14:00, totaling 5.5 hours per day and 27.5 per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process three payrolls accurately and on time, including a four-weekly payroll for approximately 250 staff across 25 branches and head office, plus two small monthly payrolls.
  • Reconcile attendance timesheets, overtime, commission and payroll data, investigating discrepancies where required.
  • Maintain payroll records and deal with payroll-related queries in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Process purchase ledger transactions and resolve queries with the branches or suppliers.
  • Answer incoming office calls and deal with queries or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Take customer payments over the phone accurately and securely.
  • Work closely with colleagues in a team of six to help ensure deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confident asking questions and investigating anything that does not look right.
  • Good communication skills, including confidence speaking to customers and colleagues by phone.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Organised and able to manage tasks within deadlines.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to help with other duties within the team when required.
