MERITUS are excited to be partnered with a growing Engineering company looking to expand their Field Service / Support team. They are looking for an Electrical focused Field Service Engineer. The role will involve supporting UK based & International clients. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys international travel, fault-finding, and working with complex electrical and mechanical systems. The position offers long-term career development, exposure to cutting-edge OEM equipment, and the opportunity to work worldwide.
Main Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and support electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites worldwide
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, testing, and inspection of systems and equipment
- Install, commission, and validate systems to engineering drawings and project timescales
- Provide professional telephone and email technical support to UK and international customers
- Build and assemble systems and equipment in line with engineering specifications and production schedules
Required Skills:
- Proven experience servicing and supporting OEM equipment in a field service or engineering role
- Strong electrical control diagnostics skills with mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to defined procedures
- Competence using Microsoft Office and computer-based diagnostic tools
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally, including scheduled weekend support
