Senior Network Engineer Defence Consultancy Hemel Hempstead Up to 72,000 + 10% Bonus DV Clearance Eligibility Required
MERITUS are working with a leading Defence consultancy looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a highly secure, fast-paced environment supporting critical national infrastructure projects. This role offers the chance to work on meaningful, technically complex platforms that play a key role in national security.

DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance is essential for this role – either already held or eligible to be obtained.
The role is based on client site in Hemel Hempstead.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in designing, building, and maintaining secure, high-performance network platforms.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Support and enhance existing monitoring and observability frameworks using tools like SNMP and syslog.
- Deliver against technical roadmaps, ensuring platforms remain aligned with product support lifecycles.
- Stay up to date with new technologies, expanding your knowledge to support evolving customer need
Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and protocols – SNMP, syslog, IP networking.
- Proven ability to deploy and integrate multi-vendor applications, particularly in secure environments.
- Experience producing detailed design documentation and build guides for enterprise platforms.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Server, Red Hat, and VMware technologies.
- Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network design and configuration, plus SAN and storage networking
- Eligibility for DV Security Clearance.
