MERITUS are excited to be partnered with a leading Engineering and Automation manufacturer seeking to appoint 2 experienced Manufacturing Supervisors (Electrical) to help lead and develop their electrical build team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this is a hands‑on leadership role focused on driving productivity, quality, and on‑time delivery across electrical manufacturing projects. You will manage a team of Electrical Fitters engaged in the build of complex automation and investment casting systems, ensuring work is delivered to the highest technical and safety standards. This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical Supervisor or Senior Electrical Fitter ready to step into a leadership position within a fast‑paced automation or equipment manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Daily hands‑on management, leadership, and motivation of an electrical manufacturing team
- Overseeing the build of automated systems and equipment to engineering drawings and specifications
- Planning and allocating work across multiple projects to meet weekly production schedules
- Taking ownership of projects and tasks through to successful completion
- Ensuring all Test & Inspection activities are completed and accurately recorded
- Reporting daily and weekly project progress to the Manufacturing Manager
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement across processes, systems, and team performance
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, PPE usage, and Risk Assessments
Required Skills:
- Minimum three years' experience in a supervisory or responsible role within electrical manufacturing
- Background in automation, machinery, or equipment manufacturing environments
- Hands‑on experience as an Electrical Fitter or Electrical Technician
- Proven ability to deliver projects to timescales within fast‑moving production environments
- Strong problem‑solving capability and practical decision‑making skills
- Technically minded, with knowledge of (or willingness to learn) inverter parameter configuration
