MERITUS are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our aviation client in Broughton on an initial 12 month contract to support new programmes. PLEASE NOTE: You MUST have experience with fuel systems in order to qualify for the role and we must have written instances of your work within that space.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER – FUEL SYSTEMS – INSIDE IR35 – 36 PER HOUR – 12 MONTHS – SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS – BROUGHTON, FLINTSHIRE
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Support and Influence Major Modifications through the Co-design Milestone Gate (MG) process.
- Prepare for, and participate in, project reviews and workshops.
- Establish (in conjunction with Programme organisation) a robust modification management process which cross-functionally manages mods through to embodiment on the aircraft.
- Support Design reviews including DSR, IDR, PDR & CDRs.
- Deliver ME tasks to enable Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People target conditions to be achieved.
- Ensure that the Industrial System design meets ME process requirements.
- Ensure that all ME processes meet EHS / Quality regulatory requirements.
- Drive lean manufacturing principles to develop effective manufacturing processes and establish a platform for continuous improvement to enable production rate ramp ups.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined transnational team.
- New project idea generation and R&T projects, feeding into the Industrial evolution Plan.
