This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant or highly experienced commercial finance professional to take a strategic partnering role within a complex organisation of 5,000+ employees, working closely with senior leaders across Customer & Services, Product, Technology and Finance. The role will sit at the heart of key commercial and strategic decisions, providing financial insight, constructive challenge and analysis to support investment, transformation, technology planning and business performance. The Role You will act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders, helping them understand the financial impact of strategic decisions and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and value. You'll work across a broad range of areas including technology investment, product planning, transformation, cloud and infrastructure costs, supplier spend, resource planning and business cases. This is a role for someone who enjoys operating beyond traditional reporting and wants to influence where and how a large technology business invests its money. Key Responsibilities Partner with senior Customer & Services leaders, providing commercial insight, financial challenge and actionable recommendations. Support Product and Technology planning, including investment prioritisation, roadmap decisions, resource planning and cost-benefit analysis. Provide financial leadership across transformation initiatives, including business cases, cost modelling, scenario analysis and benefit tracking. Own and enhance monthly performance reporting, clearly communicating financial performance, risks, opportunities and key cost drivers. Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and rolling planning, ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned with strategic priorities. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and return on investment across Product and Technology. Provide financial analysis covering areas such as development expenditure, cloud and infrastructure costs, technology suppliers and transformation programmes. Constructively challenge business cases and investment requests, ensuring expenditure is commercially justified and appropriately governed. Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, concise recommendations for senior non-finance stakeholders. Contribute to the continued improvement of finance partnering, reporting and planning processes. About You We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can operate confidently with senior stakeholders in a large and complex organisation. Essential: Qualified accountant or equivalent level of commercial finance experience. Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling. Experience working within a large organisation, ideally with 5,000+ employees. Proven ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders. Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to provide constructive challenge. Excellent analytical and Excel/modelling capability. Ability to turn financial and operational data into meaningful commercial insight. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance audiences. Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, priorities and projects in a fast-moving environment.Desirable: Experience within SaaS, software, technology, digital or technology-enabled businesses. Experience supporting Product and Technology functions. Background in transformation, investment appraisal, benefits tracking or operating model change.
