MERITUS Talent are working with one of Europe\’s leading defence systems manufacturer for the recruitment of a Head of Performance & Modelling to join on 12 month contract basis in their Hertfordshire office. The role is full time on site, and paying up to £85 per hour via umbrella. SC Clearance is required prior to starting the role, and a sole British Citizenship. We are seeking an experienced Modelling Lead to cover a Head of Modelling and Performance role during parental leave. The seeker model includes hardware, digital processing, and the target environment. The modelling team is responsible for developing the model, producing auto-code, generating seeker performance predictions, and integrating the seeker model into the missile dynamic reference model. The role will lead the combined efforts of both the modelling team and the algorithms team. Responsibilities: Lead the technical development of the seeker performance model and algorithms. Deliver coherent and complete performance models to the missile systems team. Provide day-to-day line management for team leads within the wider modelling and performance team. Oversee modelling processes in MATLAB and Simulink using model-based design techniques. Manage stakeholders within the wider missile community and represent the seeker team when required. Manage programmatics for the seeker modelling and algorithm work package, including budgets, risks, and opportunities. Share best practice across the programme to ensure efficient, coherent, and clear model deliveries into high-profile missile programmes. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, the role is predominantly onsite, with some flexibility depending on the project.
