Overview
We are seeking an Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer to work on the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical components for complex test systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs and ensure project requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a project team, reporting to the Project Manager or Technical Lead

Provide accurate status updates to the Project Manager

Prepare cost estimates and contribute to project quotations

Design electrical and electronic sub-assemblies for test systems
-
Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) when required

Research and source specific components or solutions
-
Deliver projects within defined time and cost constraints
-
Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify requirements and specifications
-
Produce and maintain electrical design packages, including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and wiring schedules
-
Support manufacturing teams during assembly and testing stages by answering technical queries
-
Conduct effective testing of designed components and systems
-
Attend factory or site acceptance tests with customers as needed
-
Generate technical documentation and user handbooks as required

Strong understanding of manufacturing requirements, particularly in electrical production

Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously

Problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and develop solutions

Qualifications and Experience

Formal engineering qualification in electrical or electronic design

Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering (design and implementation)

Must meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements

Familiarity with analogue and digital interface circuits

Experience in design/drawing tools (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent)

Experience with National Instruments hardware/software is an advantage
