MERITUS are recruiting for a Building & Construction Project Manager to join a leading aerospace and engineering organisation, delivering major construction, infrastructure, and facilities projects across a complex operational manufacturing environment.

We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital construction and infrastructure projects across aerospace manufacturing and engineering facilities. This client-side role offers responsibility for projects from feasibility and design through to commissioning and handover, supporting critical operational and production environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead construction, facilities, and infrastructure projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop project plans, CAPEX business cases, budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with operational requirements.
  • Manage project governance, contractor performance, stakeholder communications, and project reporting.
  • Support commissioning, handover, and operational integration of completed projects.
Skills & Experience:
  • Essential: Proven construction project management experience within aerospace, defence, manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle and delivery of CAPEX projects.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, budgets, programmes, and project risks.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services and infrastructure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Degree/HND in Construction, Building Services, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and project management software.
  • Desirable: Experience delivering projects within aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or high-tech engineering facilities.
  • Professional membership with CIBSE, IMechE, IET, APM, or similar.
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification.
