MERITUS are recruiting for a Build Process Engineer to join the manufacturing team for our major aerospace client in Broughton, Flintshire.
This role is responsible for developing and delivering manufacturing build processes aligned with industrial architecture and engineering definitions. The primary objective is to ensure industrial requirements are effectively integrated into the product design.
The Build Process Engineer supports the development of manufacturing systems, progressing from initial concepts through to implementation in an operational environment, with a focus on cost efficiency and lead-time targets. The role also involves the use of modern digital engineering tools and platforms.
Key Accountabilities / Deliverables- Develop and document manufacturing process definitions up to handover to the production planning phase.
- Influence product design while concurrently developing process instructions.
- Contribute to the approval and validation of product design data sets.
- Support the industrialisation and maturity of new technical solutions.
- Provide input into the design and optimisation of manufacturing systems.
- Produce component delivery specifications.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues.
- Support manufacturing engineering contributions to supplier tendering processes, including tooling requirements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations to support development of build strategies.
- Broad engineering capability, including interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, parts, tooling, and documentation.
- Understanding of product development and design processes.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Stakeholder management skills.
