MERITUS are recruiting for a Wireperson to join our client in a permanent position to support upcoming energy projects across the green and nuclear sectors.
Role Summary:
The role involves electrical control panel wiring within a wider assembly and test environment. You will be responsible for managing your workload effectively to deliver assigned tasks within agreed timescales. Where required, you may take a lead role within a production bay, supporting coordination alongside the production team leader to ensure adherence to standards and accurate completion of assembly record cards. Flexibility in working hours will be required at times to support project delivery deadlines, along with a proactive approach to continuous improvement in working practices.
Responsibilities:
- Work in accordance with defined company standards and procedures
- Complete assembly record cards to ensure full traceability and identification of serialised components
- Assemble and wire electrical components of varying size and complexity using drawings, parts lists, and specifications
- Mechanical assembly of cubicles and framework
- Bench assembly of electrical sub-assemblies
- Ensure quality of own work and rectify rework identified during inspection
