MERITUS are recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our client near Telford at RAF Shawbury.
You must have:
- Completed a formal aviation apprenticeship or related discipline.
This is a non-certifying role supporting line and base maintenance of the H135 and H145 fleet, ensuring safe, compliant aircraft operation and high availability in support of flight training operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support line and base maintenance activities as directed by Supervisors and Certifying Engineers.
- Carry out airframe, powerplant, mechanical, electrical, and component maintenance in line with OEM instructions.
- Provide engineering support to Flight Operations.
- Conduct off-aircraft workshop tasks, including component and composite work.
- Assist with aircraft movements, hangar operations, and general housekeeping.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards to support >98% aircraft availability.
