The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection activities across precision-machined components used within highly regulated engineering environments. - Interpretation of third-angle engineering drawings and tolerances
- Use of conventional inspection equipment including:
- Height gauges
- Internal and external micrometers
- Intrimics / ball micrometers

- Verniers and associated metrology equipment
- Supporting production teams with inspection-related queries
- Maintaining inspection standards within aerospace and defence manufacturing environments
- Working independently to identify issues and ensure component conformity
About You
We are looking for someone who can work proactively and independently rather than relying solely on standard checklists or step-by-step inspection procedures. You will ideally have experience within precision engineering, aerospace, defence or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors.
Essential:
- Previous experience within a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician role
- Strong understanding of precision machining inspection processes
- Ability to confidently read and interpret third-angle engineering drawings
- Experience using conventional metrology equipment
- Ability to work independently and use initiative on the shop floor
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
