MERITUS are recruiting for a Process Planning Engineer to join our client on an initial 6 month contract from their site in Broughton, Flintshire. PLEASE NOTE: You must have demonstrable SAP experience on your CV in order to be shortlisted for the position.

Responsible for optimizing line balancing (SLB) and industrial sequencing to ensure on-time delivery within takt time and optimal resource deployment. Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency through performance monitoring, CVAT analysis, and reduction of efficiency losses (white/red space).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining PERT charts and Standard Line Balancing (SLB) to enable Production Pace Control (PPC).
  • Monitoring manufacturing performance, analysing gaps, and implementing improvements.
  • Reducing efficiency losses through white/red space and VA/NVA analysis, with focus on critical path optimisation.
  • Improving processes and serial allocated time through shop floor observation and data analysis.
  • Translating industrial requirements to design and supply chain, and assessing the impact of modifications.
  • Maintaining and governing the Standard Time Value (STV) database.
