MERITUS are recruiting for a Transducer Test Engineer to join our client in Yateley in a permanent position.
You will support the testing, validation, and performance analysis of underwater acoustic transducers, ensuring products meet required acoustic, electrical, and environmental standards. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, supporting new product development, and driving improvements through data-driven analysis and structured testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-air and in-water acoustic and electrical testing of transducer systems
- Analyse test data and produce clear technical reports, including root cause analysis and recommendations
- Use specialist lab equipment to measure:
- Sound pressure levels
- Frequency response
- Noise and vibration characteristics
Essential Experience
- Experience in testing, validation, or quality-focused engineering environments
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, problem-solving mindset
