- Verify that all materials and components are accompanied by correct certification and documentation.
- Inspect assemblies (e.g. coils, cables, battery packs), ensuring correct labelling, assembly integrity, and absence of visual defects.
- Work with design and development teams during prototype inspection to support issue resolution.
- Manage and prioritise inspection activities across internal production and external supply chain demands.
- Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring calibration is current and compliant with quality requirements.
- Accurately record inspection outcomes and maintain quality records within internal systems, including the generation of rejection documentation.
- Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are correctly identified and maintained within calibration schedules.
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture at all times.
- Proven experience in mechanical inspection within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using Aberlink CMM systems (manual and/or CNC), including programming capability.
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques for precision machined components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and verify components against specification.
- Competent with standard IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- Experience inspecting components used in pressure-containing or high-integrity environments.
- Awareness of electrostatic discharge (ESD) requirements when handling assemblies.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 25kg, with lifting support where required).
