MERITUS are recruiting for an Aircraft Fitter to join our client at RAF Valley in Anglesey to support a project for a minimum period of 12 months (with very likely extension). In order to apply for the role, you MUST have an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in an Engineering practice.

Responsible for supporting the movement, Line, and Base Maintenance of a rotary-wing H135/H145 fleet. This includes both on-aircraft and workshop-based mechanical tasks, ensuring aircraft safety and readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs under the direction of a Supervisor or Certifying Engineer
  • Support daily flight operations and aircraft movements
  • Conduct airframe, engine, mechanical, and electrical system maintenance per OEM instructions
  • Carry out off-aircraft component and powerplant work in workshops
  • Maintain hangar cleanliness and support aircraft handling
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of engine and airframe systems
  • Use of test equipment related to those systems
  • Current knowledge of Flight Operations, Line, and Base Maintenance
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with UK Military Aviation
  • Awareness of CAA Part 145 / Part M
Qualifications:
  • Completed apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent discipline
Experience Required:
  • Base Maintenance
  • Flight Operations / Line Maintenance
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience on H135/H145
  • Military aviation background
