The situation: The EU AI Act just changed everything for banks trying to deploy AI at scale. Compliance isn't a checkbox anymore. It's an existential risk. One early-stage startup is building the operating system for AI governance in financial services, the infrastructure that lets tier-one banks actually use AI without gambling their license. They need their first marketing hire.
Someone who can build the demand generation engine, own positioning, and create the air cover that helps close deals with the most risk-averse buyers on the planet. This isn't A/B testing button colours. This is category creation.
What you'll own:
- Demand gen and ABM across LinkedIn, email, webinars, and multi-touch campaigns targeting CROs, Heads of Compliance, and CTOs at tier-one banks.
- Top-of-funnel performance, tracking pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and what's actually driving SQLs and revenue.
- Positioning, messaging, and thought leadership, turning dense AI governance concepts into white papers, LinkedIn content, and sales enablement materials that build credibility and shorten deal cycles.
- Events activation, identifying the executive dinners, private roundtables, and FSI-specific conferences where buyers actually show up.
You should be:
- 4+ years in B2B SaaS marketing to enterprise customers, ideally as an early hire who built the function rather than inherited one.
- Comfortable running campaigns across LinkedIn, email, events, and ABM without a team behind you, and measuring success by pipeline, not impressions.
- Technically credible enough to speak about AI/ML with technical buyers and write exceptionally well about complex concepts.
- Self-sufficient with tools like HubSpot, Webflow, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and energized by ambiguity, ownership, and building from scratch.
This is for you if:
You want to build the growth engine of a category-defining company, see your impact in real time on deals closed and brand momentum, and work directly with founders who move at startup speed while solving enterprise problems.
