Meriton Associates are supporting a well‑established civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of infrastructure and public‑realm projects across Hampshire. This is a key opportunity for a proven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of schemes from early planning through to handover.

The Role

  • You will oversee a civil engineering project, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery.
  • Typical works include highways, drainage, public realm improvements, groundworks and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Full project leadership from pre‑start to completion
    • Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners
    • Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality and environmental standards
    • Programme management, forecasting and reporting especially with NEC contracts
    • Client liaison and maintaining strong working relationships
    • Driving commercial awareness and cost control
    • Supporting continuous improvement and best‑practice delivery

About You

  • Strong background in civil engineering project management
  • Experience delivering schemes for local authorities, developers or public‑sector clients
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high standards
  • SMSTS, CSCS and relevant civil engineering qualifications preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
