Meriton Associates are supporting a well‑established civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of infrastructure and public‑realm projects across Hampshire. This is a key opportunity for a proven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of schemes from early planning through to handover.
The Role
- You will oversee a civil engineering project, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery.
- Typical works include highways, drainage, public realm improvements, groundworks and infrastructure upgrades.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Full project leadership from pre‑start to completion
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality and environmental standards
- Programme management, forecasting and reporting especially with NEC contracts
- Client liaison and maintaining strong working relationships
- Driving commercial awareness and cost control
- Supporting continuous improvement and best‑practice delivery
About You
- Strong background in civil engineering project management
- Experience delivering schemes for local authorities, developers or public‑sector clients
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high standards
- SMSTS, CSCS and relevant civil engineering qualifications preferred
- Full UK driving licence
