Meriton Associates are working in partnership with a well‑established and respected regional contractor, to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for their growing Building Division. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career with a contractor known for quality, professionalism, and long‑term staff development.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the day‑to‑day management of site operations, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the coordination of subcontractors and direct labour
  • Maintaining site health & safety standards and documentation
  • Supporting quality control and snagging processes
  • Helping to manage site logistics and materials
  • Liaising with the wider project team, including commercial and design teams
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor role
  • Background in building construction
  • Strong understanding of health & safety on site
  • Organised, proactive, and keen to learn
  • SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid (or working towards) preferred
