Trainee Project Coordinator (Russian Speaking)
Established over 20 years ago, Meritex International Freight Services Ltd provides specialist freight forwarding services to events and exhibitions worldwide. We are currently looking for someone to join a close-knit team as a shipping project co-ordinator.
Meritex has offices in the UK, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and a lot of work will be related to the CIS regions therefore fluent Russian speaking and writing skills are essential.
Job Responsibility:
The role will involve:
- Working directly under Logistics Manager for CIS regions
- Assisting in the management of cost-efficient land, air and sea transportation.
- Dealing with our offices in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan
- Preparation of import and export shipping documentation.
- Arranging collections and deliveries.
- Liaising with worldwide agents, shipping forwarders and logistics agencies in a professional manner.
Requirements:
A successful candidate should be:
- Fluent Russian and English speaker
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines.
- Have good telephone manners.
- Enthusiastic, confident and resourceful with a “can do” attitude.
- Highly organised, with great attention to details, able to juggle multiple projects and commercially astute.
Some experience in a freight/logistics environment or in an exhibition environment would be advantageous but full in-house training will be given.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
