Merit Education are recruiting for the following exciting opportunity:

Location: Kirkby in Ashfield

Duration: Temp to Perm

Shift Pattern: Full Time

Salary: £31650 - £49084 per annum

School Details: The school was brought under academy management a few years ago. Since this point, the school has improved dramatically in key areas such as pupil attainment, behaviour and staff attrition. The school was recently able to proudly state that they are in the nation's top 1% of schools in relation to academic transformation. The school is also set to benefit soon from an entire rebuild of the school which will give them access to improved facilities and a much more pleasant working and learning environment.

Vacancy Details:

  • Teaching Geography to KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Full time role initially starting on a temporary basis but with the aim to offer a permanent placement upon a satisfactory temporary period being completed.
  • Involvement in ALL aspects of teaching, including but not limited to creating SoW, general planning, classroom delivery and assessment of pupils' work.
  • Potential requirement to work occasionally at different schools within the trust.

Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

  • Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number.
  • Experience of working as a Geography teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
  • Experience in History and RE is preferential but not mandatory.
  • Full enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process.
  • The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.
  • A minimum of 2 school based references.
