Sawtry Junior Academy are seeking a committed and compassionate Inclusion Manager to lead and develop the inclusive practice across the school. You will lead the day to day running of the inclusion provision, providing a safe, calm and appropriate learning environment. You will also provide a safe, happy and inclusive lunch time experience. This includes helping to supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging positive behaviour and enjoyable play.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the inclusion provision and provide academic support and appropriate pathways for children.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum lessons and activities to small groups of pupils in provision.
  • Be responsive to challenging behaviours of children and provide valuable support and guidance.
  • Promote and secure a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor the attendance of students and ensure regular communication with the attendance officer.
  • Experience of working with young people in an advisory capacity.
  • High level of personal organisation skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence students.
  • Be a team player, with a 'can do' solution focused attitude.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.

About Meridian Trust

We have been part of the Meridian Trust family since November 2016. Our academy is situated in the heart of the village of Sawtry and caters for children aged 7-11 (Key Stage 2). We have approximately 270 pupils, in 10 single age classes. Most of our pupils come from the village of Sawtry; the remainder are from surrounding villages.

Salary & Hours

Salary: Inclusion Manager - £20,744; Midday Supervisor - £2,766
Hours: 31.25 as Inclusion Manager and 5 hours as Midday Supervisor, M-F 08:00-15:45, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 days).
