Responsibilities
- Support Attendance & Welfare – Assist the Senior Attendance Officer in managing attendance cases and reducing persistent absences.
- Efficient Administration – Handle attendance calls, update records in Bromcom and ensure accurate register keeping.
- Parent & Student Communication – Liaise with parents/carers about absences and issue attendance warning letters.
- Admissions Support – Maintain student records, prepare starter packs and assist with in‑year admissions and transitions.
- Reception Cover – Support the main reception team, greet visitors and manage calls and emails.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Skills – Experience in providing in‑depth admin support with excellent attention to detail.
- IT Proficiency – Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and other ICT systems to manage data and records efficiently.
- Communication & Organisation – Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Education & Experience – Previous experience in a school office or educational setting is desirable, along with GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Personal Attributes – A welcoming, professional approach with integrity, teamwork skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Adaptability & Initiative – Able to work independently, take initiative and embrace new challenges in a busy school environment.
