Meridian Business support are working on behalf of a lovely high school based in the Widnes, Cheshire area, they require experienced, qualified Teaching Assistants to support their students with support with their lessons and identifying the students’ needs and barriers to learning. Role: Teaching Assistants Start date: ASAP Location: Widnes Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only) Salary: £24,027 – £24,790 + SEN Allowance Successful candidates for the Teaching Assistant roles must have a minimum of Math and English GCSE grade 5 or equivalent, and ideally hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar qualification and experience working with students within a school or college environment Applicants must be well-qualified, passionate and inspiring colleagues to join our clients school, which has a highly regarded and successful SEND Department The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience working with learners with SEND Capable of supporting students needing extra support Able to provide ongoing support to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Can employ strategies to recognise and celebrate learners’ achievements. Utilise detailed knowledge to assess learners’ needs and support their learning process. Provide regular feedback to learners on their progress and achievements, promoting growth and development. Monitor and evaluate learner responses to activities, ensuring appropriate interventions where needed. Deliver specialist support to meet individual learner needs effectively.
