Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Taunton area for a Production Technician. This role is being offered on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The Role

As a Production Technician, you will carry out a variety of hands-on tasks within a controlled working environment, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in line with established procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting specialist manufacturing and processing activities
  • Handling chemicals and controlled materials in accordance with COSHH and Health & Safety procedures
  • Preparing, processing and inspecting small components and assemblies
  • Following detailed work instructions and quality standards
  • Carrying out checks to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
  • Working effectively as part of a small team

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this Production Technician opportunity, you should have:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, laboratory, processing or quality-focused environment
  • Experience handling chemicals or controlled materials would be advantageous
  • An understanding of COSHH and workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • The ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately
  • A reliable, positive and flexible approach to work

Applicants with experience as a Manufacturing Operative, Process Operative, Assembly Operative, Laboratory Assistant, Quality Inspector or Manufacturing Technician are encouraged to apply.
