Overview
We’re looking to hire a Surface Grinder Setter Operator to join the day shift as we grow.
If you have experience setting and operating manual and/or CNC surface grinding equipment, and you’re looking to join a modern, growing, precision engineering company producing advanced precision components for products that make a real difference worldwide, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating surface grinding machines (manual and/or CNC)
- Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings
- Inspecting finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
- Plus any associated duties as required
Role and environment
Reporting to your manager, you will produce precision engineered component parts, mostly made from aluminium and stainless steel, as part of an established and supportive team.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work and aims to produce high-quality products that will be used in important applications.
Job Details
Job Title: Surface Grinder Setter Operator
Location: Tewkesbury
Essential requirement: Surface grinding setting and operating experience
Working hours: 39 hours per week, day shift with lunchtime finish on Fridays
Salary: £31,000 – £36,000 (depending on skills and experience); overtime available at premium rates
Benefits: Very good salary plus annual pay review, 24 days holiday (increasing with length of service) + bank holidays, enhanced pension contributions, life insurance, Christmas shutdown, Christmas bonus, regular overtime, free on-site parking, modern facilities
Contract type: Permanent from day one
