Meridian Business support are working on behalf of a state of the art college based in the Greater Manchester area, they require an experienced Pastoral Support Assistant to support their students with anxiety and depression, providing support with their lessons and identifying the students needs and barriers to learning. Role: Pastoral Support Assistant Start date: ASAP Location: Manchester Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only) Salary: £25 per hour Successful candidates for the Pastoral Support Assistant must have a minimum of Math and English GCSE grade 5 or equivalent, and ideally hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar qualification and experience working with students with anxiety and depression. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience working with learners who have anxiety and depression Capable of supporting students needing extra support Able to provide ongoing support to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Can employ strategies to recognise and celebrate learners’ achievements. Utilise detailed knowledge to assess learners’ needs and support their learning process. Provide regular feedback to learners on their progress and achievements, promoting growth and development. Monitor and evaluate learner responses to activities, ensuring appropriate interventions where needed. Deliver specialist support to meet individual learner needs effectively.
