The Opportunity: As a seasoned Marketing Manager, your role will be to drive the brand awareness of this well-respected supplier to the defence sector. This well-established firm of manufacturing engineers has customers throughout the UK and overseas. Your creative flair, energy and enthusiasm will be fully relied upon in this 360 Marketing and Communications role. Whilst the whole business supports the sales and marketing function, this stand-alone Marketing Manager position will allow you to really make a difference. The role is extremely varied, including extensive trade show and exhibition planning and design on a global basis, managing company literature (both design for print and digital), liaising with the company’s marketing agency, creating interesting and captivating media content, and social media content and analytics. Job Responsibilities:

  • The creation and execution of marketing plans across the entire business and in line with national defence restrictions.
  • Deliver effective and measurable marketing campaigns to help the business streams maximise potential opportunities.
  • Continually develop marketing campaigns, promotional activity for media channels (social media, websites, TV and press releases).
  • Public relations and press management including delivering effective and timely press releases.
  • Creation and maintenance of a social media strategy and plan.
  • Supporting the creation of marketing budgets and ongoing management of annual expenditure.

Skills Required:

  • Creativity, innovation and excellent communications skills with proven experience in a B2B Marketing Managerial role.
  • Ideally you will have experience of working in a manufacturing, engineering or defence-based environment.
  • You will be an enthusiastic and passionate person and this energy will be reflected in your marketing strategy and campaign management across the business.
  • Your ethics will mirror those of the company and any previous exposure to the defence sector would be welcomed, although not essential.
  • You will have an excellent command of the English Language in order to create interesting content, and also be confident in front of a camera.
  • You must be happy to travel for the role and able to attend company trade shows, predominantly in the UK but there may be some international travel.
