We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to produce accurate and timely financial information to support effective business decision-making and compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.

The Role

Prepare supplier payment runs to agreed timetables.

Reconcile customer rebates and prepare agents' commission workings.

Post monthly accounting journals.

Prepare management accounts for the business with useful insights.

Prepare sales, margin and cost reports.

Maintain a fully reconciled balance sheet, clearly highlighting risks and opportunities.

Complete general accounting reports when required.

Prepare and post monthly prepayments and accruals, ensuring all supporting backup is maintained.

Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register and ensure depreciation is posted correctly.

Liaise with and support external auditors as required.

Prepare VAT returns for review.

Provide support to the department in carrying out its statutory functions.

Carry out further duties delegated by the line manager.

Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

About You

Experience using Sage 200 is essential.

CIMA / ACCA part qualified or proven experience in a similar role.

Excellent organisational skills.

Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Ability to build relationships with internal and external personnel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
