Our client is a successful and growing business, and they are looking for a Head of Credit Control to join their growing team based in Salisbury on a 6 – 9-month Contract. Purpose of the Role The Head of Credit Control will lead the credit control function, ensuring the effective management of customer credit risk, timely collections, and robust debtor ledger control. This is a hands-on role, responsible for shaping credit policy, driving process improvements, and supporting business growth by optimising working capital. Main Accountabilities: Lead and manage the credit control team, ensuring high performance, motivation, and professional development. Develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures aligned with business objectives. Ensure timely collection of outstanding debts and proactively manage overdue accounts. Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to balance commercial growth with prudent risk management. Monitor and report on debtor days, cashflow, and credit risk exposure to senior management. Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers when necessary. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards in all credit control activities. Drive continuous improvement through automation, systems enhancements, and process efficiency.
